This is not set up as a part of the GI spare parts kit per the Table of
Equipment, but I have included it in this kit for your convenience, and because
many GI’s put this wrench into the spare parts bag to keep it more secure than
in the large tool bag. This
is a really nice bonus item!
10. BAG,
KEY, H-700: Small cotton bag which would contain 2 standard vehicle H-700 keys
(not included)
Gentlemen,
please read this little bit about the spare parts kits...the elusive little kit
that no one seems to have available for sale except me.....and here is why....
Well, I got tired of waiting for someone to offer it and decided to make one for
myself. When I was done, I had a lot of friends that said they would like one
despite the inappropriate wrapper here and a little something there.
As far as Ebay, yes, I tested these on Ebay and I sold a good number, but my NOS
bags (correct size and all but actually were BAR and Thompson spare parts bags)
were getting low so I changed and now have a repro bag with parts kit data
stamped on them. Darned fuctional and look great. Heck, I even threw in a T84
Bristol wrench!
Friends, just add up the costs, the research, the phone calls, and your time and
effort for a one kit pusuit and I promise you'll wish you hadn't. This is a lot
of work, and a lot of very choosy enthusiasts to satisfy along with some not so
choosy, like me. So if you want all perfect repro parts, first find them, then
pay for them. You are happy, and me too.
The kits are not perfect, admittedly. Look at my website. I never claimed to be
perfect.
But I try to keep my products affordable to the masses where guys like me do
their very best with what they have. I won't put original spare parts in
original boxes in an original bag and ever hope to get any actual use out of it.
It would be way too valuable. If you could find the parts!
You can, however, buy a cheap $75 kit, throw it in your glove box and use the
dang parts to fix broke stuff whenever you need them! What an idea!
Now that is a product I am happy to sell.
