 Fort Weyrlings, nowadays: the Hatching came and went in an emotional whirlwind that rocked Gretta's world and gave her the exotic, ever-inquisitive green Halysath. Weyrling training has begun, and it's already wearing Gretta ragged with the exhaustive work, the unfamiliar and incredibly intense connection with Halysath, and the lack of privacy in a crowded barracks.
