history    Xenvelth    logs (soon!)

Dark hair, neatly kept even and trimmed, hangs above eyes of equal darkness, both black as night. Between those midnight-hued eyes and thin, twitchy lips lies a large, rounded nose; it seems to give the boy's face a look of disproportion with his squinty eyes and stretchy lips. Dark-skinned, this boy, and let's not forget short and slight: yet, the rigors of dragonriding lend to now-muscular build.

Black, again, appears upon tunic kept unwrinkled and neat; it looks to be of heavy material -- for the wear and tear of dragonriding -- and hangs mid-thigh. Trous are of dark, dark blue -- a slim difference from the squared-neck tunic. Boots, black boots, rise 'til they touch the bottom of kneecaps, the ends folded down to reveal fur-lined insides. Dark colors of the 'Reaches -- blue, black -- contrast the sliver of bronzen thread; simply, it tells of Gary's rank: Inferno wingrider of High Reaches, paired with Xenvelth.

G'rye's history

I had so much fun playing this character--mostly because he was a whiny, wimpy teenager who had been forced by his overbearing father to go to High Reaches Weyr and find himself a hardy, strong woman to marry.

His basic history:

Fourth son of a wealthy man, Garyem's chance of becoming Holder of his sire's minor Hold was slim-to-none. Once this was realized by Holder Jaryon, he offered to gift his lastborn a piece of his land to establish a cothold. If not a Holder, then why not a cotholder? Ah, but there was one catch: Garyem must first find a bride. And what better place to search than at High Reaches Weyr? -- that was his father's logic, at least. Jaryon figured that a Weyr would have more of the adventuresome, hardy types who could cope with the rigors of building a cothold from ground-up. Therefore, Garyem was pointed Weyr-wards to hunt down a suitable spouse.

Garyem was extremely unsuccessful with his search--though he managed to make some friends who would, if just to torment Gary, help him out. His plans were interrupted when R'tel & brown Zyeveth Searched him. And--especially--when he Impressed at Priya's gold Xisath and A'stin's bronze Astireth's clutch.

There, a grunge bronze -- Xenvelth -- put an end to Gary's -- rather, G'rye's -- searching for a wife; he had a lifemate. He Impressed alongside of Cleo & gold Zvezdath, G'vin & brown Daigith, M'yau & brown Kosovoth, Nerine & blue Oseboth, and K'va and green Baireth.

Not long after Xenvelth and G'rye graduated to become full-fledged riders, Xenvelth caught Zvezdath in her maiden flight. PC Impressions were L'than & bronze Cyfaeth, R'nal & bronze Lysanth, I'kan & brown Danith, D'ben & blue Cimerth, and C'tan & blue Itazuth.

Xenvelth

A tinge of yellow-gold flashes at the end of a head knob briefly before it's nearly lost in the russet bronzes that stain his forehead. A plethora of browns tumble down the arc of his neck and appear to smooth this dragon's blunted contours and give the false impression of somnolence to cunning meditation. Across his chest a pale blotch marks his bronzed hide, resembling an insignia that he brazenly sports for all to see. A soft green, the color of the darkest rainforest suffuses the sails of his wings, almost seeming to vie for domination with the creamy bronze that lavishes every line of the membrane. Marbling of purples are veined with touches of russet brown, accenting muzzle, wingtips and tailtip alike.

(Note: Still searching for his lovely, amusing inspiration!)
